  • Shodan (1st degree black belt) Goju-Ryu Karate

Edward began studying Shindo-Ryu Jujutsu in 2011. He has also been practicing GoJu-Ryu Karate for more than a decade and combines these complementary styles in his training. He regularly travels internationally to train with other members of the YKKF and has participated in competitions and demonstrations abroad.

A certified Instructor with the YKKF, Edward has been teaching martial arts since 2017 in Borehamwood, Bushey, and Ashtead, and has now opened a dojo in Radlett. He teaches Shindo-Ryu Jujutsu, incorporating principles from karate to help students develop into well-rounded martial artists. His classes combine the traditions of Japanese martial arts with modern insights, fostering technical development, confidence, and personal growth. Edward’s approach creates an environment in which students can learn at their own pace, encouraged to pursue excellence. This allows him to nurture beginners and push experienced practitioners to surpass their limits.
